Uberfacts: Nigerians React To Trending, Certified Court Documents On Tinubu’s Drug Trafficking Case

Bola Tinubu, the current “president-elect” of Nigeria, surrendered $460,000 to the US Government in 1994 as a result of cocaine trafficking, according to court records shared on the website and mobile app Uberfacts, which supplies users with random facts from around the world.

Uberfacts stated in the court records that are attached and were originally published by People’s Gazette on its Twitter account, @UberFacts: that “In 1993, Bola Ahmed Tinubu surrendered $460,000 to the US government after a Chicago court found the income came from heroin trafficking.”

The service, which Kris Sanchez created, acquired the information through research from books, scientific articles, the news, and more. It currently has 13.5 million users. As of 4 p.m., the posting had received 32.1k retweets, 6,581 quote tweets, and 42.5k likes. This has infuriated supporters of Nigeria’s incoming president, Tinubu, who have accused the company of attempting to gain followers from Nigeria by using the post.

Many other Nigerians, meantime, have praised the publication of the documents on Twitter and emphasized that breaking the law has repercussions.

“For clarity’s sake to those that are not Nigerians, he is the President-select. We did not elect him. He walks in italics and mumbles gibberish non-stop at events.

“He is obsessed with mumbling cassava, beans, and garri. You gon find handles defending him in the comments, those are the people that escaped from correctional centers we are trying to capture.

Don’t engage them coz they gon bite you and, sadly they have rabies and you know what that means.
