Viral moment singer Teni resisted getting kicked off stage by First lady’s security details at a recent event

Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter Teniola Apata, widely known as Teni, has sparked conversations online following a viral video from her recent performance.

The clip captures the moment security operatives attached to Nigeria’s First Lady, Remi Tinubu, attempted to stop the singer as she approached the VIP section to greet dignitaries at the Uyo Township Stadium during the event.

At the beginning of the video, Teni is seen performing her hit song “Case” on the main stage, entertaining the crowd with her energetic performance.

In a move to further engage the audience, the singer decided to walk toward the VIP area to greet prominent personalities present at the venue.

Among those seated in the section were Senate President Godswill Akpabio, a former governor of Akwa Ibom State, First Lady Remi Tinubu, Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Bassey Eno, and other top dignitaries.

However, the moment that caught the attention of many online occurred when Remi Tinubu’s security details attempted to halt Teni as she made her way toward the VIP section.

Despite the brief attempt to stop her, the singer proceeded and eventually reached the First Lady, where she respectfully went on her knees to greet her. Remi Tinubu was seen warmly acknowledging her.

Another highlight of the moment was when Teni playfully held the microphone up to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, encouraging him to sing along, creating a lively atmosphere that drew cheers from the crowd.

LyfAcrosBorders noted, “Looks like even when it’s all love and respect, VIP protocols don’t play! 😅 Teni coming through to greet dignitaries and getting stopped by security – classic moment. 🎤✨ Abeg wetin she even wear? Teni fashion team must be sack.”

Overall, the moment ended on a positive note as Teni’s lively personality and respect toward the dignitaries eventually turned what could have been an awkward situation into a memorable highlight of the event. Her playful interaction with Senate President Godswill Akpabio and the warm reception from First Lady Remi Tinubu added to the excitement in the stadium, leaving many fans amused online.

However, the incident has continued to spark mixed reactions on social media, with many questioning whether the security operatives were simply doing their job or if the situation was unnecessarily exaggerated.
