Widow Seduced Her Husband’s Killer For Years, Had Him Jailed After Getting Proof

Hell hath no fury like a woman dead set on revenge. A widow took matters into her hand to put the man suspected to have killed her husband in prison.

Rear view of two multiracial police officers arresting a criminal suspect, a man with his hands handcuffed behind his back. One of the officers is an African-American man and the other is a policewoman, both in their 40s.

People who work in law enforcement, such as police officers and detectives, are frequently overworked, understaffed, and in the worst cases, suspected of being bribed to put off certain investigations.

A Colombian woman decided to get involved in the case and help the police catch the alleged murderer after they were unable to find the person who had killed her husband.

Authorities in Cordoba, Colombia claim that the unidentified woman spent years getting to know alleged criminal Rubén Daro Viloria Barrios and gathering the necessary evidence to have him charged.

Viloria Barrios is allegedly a criminal ringleader who coordinated the shipment of drugs to the US and Central America, planned assassination attempts on rivals and even former allies, and smuggled weapons and ammunition.

He supposedly did this by claiming to be a respectable trader in Ciénaga de Oro. Most people who knew him said he was a devout Christian who preached the Bible.

The widow, who was reportedly very tenacious and had spent years planning how she would carry out the risky task, was said to be incredibly determined. She gradually wormed her way into his social circle and eventually seduced him in order to gather proof of his alleged illicit conduct.

Viloria Barrios reportedly developed feelings for the amateur detective and even fell in love with the smart widow. She learned about his dealings later, and she immediately alerted the police.

The National Police Special Operations Group was able to arrest him when she alerted authorities that he would be attending a meeting with other alleged criminals in Monteria.

Oh…what a smart move!
