Wife Of 71-Year-Old Anglican Priest Gives Birth To Triplets After Years Of Waiting

Erelu Bisi Fayemi, the wife of the governor of Ekiti State, visited a family who had been blessed with triplets at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) in Ado-Ekiti.

The newborns are the first children of Venerable Hezekiah Akenroye, a 71-years-old retired Anglican priest, and his wife, Mrs. Durodoluwa Akenroye, 45-year-old, who got married in April 2016.

After learning of the triplets’ arrival from a story that went viral on social media, the governor’s wife paid a visit to congratulate the parents and gifted the babies money and other things. She also urged the parents to raise the children in the Lord’s ways.

The first lady, who branched to the hospital on her way to a social event today, expressed her joy at the babies’ arrival, saying it is proof that God hears and answers prayers.

She offered her congratulations to the couple and took the opportunity to encourage other troubled couples to maintain their faith in God.

The aged father of the children, Venerable Akenroye, thanked the first lady for her thoughtful gesture and expressed his happiness at now having triplets after a long period of waiting.

He said he had never thought that God could still make him a father in this life. He thanked God for the good gifts and emphasized that God’s timing is always the best.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
