Wizkid Says, “I Know What It Feels Like To Have Nothing.”

The well-known musician Ayo Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid, has offered an alternative account of his life, highlighting the events that influenced his philosophy.

Wizkid thought back to his early years. He was raised in an 11-child family, four of whom were his mother’s.

He remembered rough times when he and his siblings frequently went without food.

“I came from the bottom, I know what it feels like not to have anything.

“There was a time in my life when I had never even had breakfast, it was just lunch or maybe dinner,” he shared.

Wizkid emphasized that his modest upbringing has given him a feeling of thankfulness and calmness that no amount of success can contradict, despite his enormous recognition.

The “Made in Lagos” musician sincerely thanked his parents especially his late mother for their priceless advice and assistance.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
