Suspected Ritualist Nabbed With Human Parts In Lagos

Officers from the Odo-Noforija Division have apprehended Samson Oghenebreme, 25, in the Odomola community, Epe, for possessing human organs.

The arrest, which took place on April 25, 2025, was prompted by reliable information provided by community members regarding the suspect’s suspicious activities.

Initial investigations disclosed that the suspect was transporting the organs from Edo state to a native doctor for use in money-making rituals.

Speaking to journalists, the command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest, stating that the recovered human organs have been stored at the General Hospital, Epe, for safekeeping, while the case has been handed over to the Edo State Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, praised the quick actions of the officers and the alertness of the Odomola community. He highlighted the critical role of timely information sharing, which was instrumental in the swift capture of the suspect.

CP Jimoh encourages all Lagos State residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious individuals or activities to the nearest police station. He reassures the public that the Command is steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding lives and property throughout the state.
