Former security guards, Happie Boys, on September 14, visited the church of their former benefactor and pastor, Apostle Chinyere, located in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
During the church service, the security guards claimed that two adversaries of the pastor manipulated them into criticizing him, promising to arrange their travel to the US.
Recall that in 2023, the security guards gained online fame after being dismissed for dancing and recording videos while on duty.
After losing their jobs, they took to the internet to seek assistance, and their plea reached the pastor, who reached out and granted them scholarships to study in Turkey. Shortly after arriving in Cyprus, they posted a video cursing the pastor and accusing him of bringing them to Cyprus only to abandon them. They claimed he supported them financially for the first six months in Turkey but stopped thereafter.
In response, the pastor explained that the worsening economy prevented him from continuing to fund the scholarships of those he sent to Cyprus, advising them to return to Nigeria or continue their education in Benin Republic, an option the boys rejected.
It seems all is now resolved between them, as they attended his church today and even took to the church pulpit.
A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
