Be Angry With Your Poverty Not Your Wife’s Poor Cooking Skills — Pastor Ibiyeomie

Bishop David Ibiyeomie, the General Overseer of Salvation Ministry, has chastised Nigerian men who regularly complain about their wives’ poor cooking skills.

During a sermon on Sunday, the famed gospel preacher encouraged men who can’t afford to employ a chef to blame their poverty rather than their wives. When he got wealthy and could afford to hire a chef, he said he stopped his wife from working in the kitchen.

“When you hear a man say that my wife does not know how to cook, he is yet to understand love. Let me be very raw with you. Hire somebody to teach her and it is not even compulsory that she cooks for you, can’t you get a chef? It is your poverty that is disturbing you.

I told my wife to stop cooking. I told her that God has blessed me to a point that you will never enter the kitchen. Where did you hear that a woman must cook till she dies? Just be angry with your poverty. You employ a chef.

”If you can’t afford that yet, work around teaching her and stop spreading her weakness all around. No one is perfect. The scripture calls the women weaker vessels, it means men are the weak ones. There can’t be weaker if there is no weak,” he said.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
