CAF Announces Free E-visas For Fans Attending AFCON 2025 In Morocco

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) together with the Local Organising Committee for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 has revealed that supporters who will be travelling to attend the tournament are now entitled to receive free electronic visas.

The continental football governing body made this disclosure through an official statement published on its website on Friday, explaining that citizens from nations which ordinarily require a visa for entry into Morocco will be the ones expected to enjoy this particular policy.

“Electronic visas to enter Morocco — obtained through the YALLA app — are now free of charge for supporters attending the competition, which runs from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026,” CAF said.

The organisation indicated that this announcement is being made against the backdrop of increasing worldwide interest in the continent’s premier football competition, as greater numbers of fans continue to secure their tickets.

It emphasised that possession of a fan identification remains compulsory for admission into every stadium as well as all designated official fan zones.

“CAF Supporters can apply for both the Fan ID and e-visa in one place inside the YALLA app, streamlining travel and stadium access.

“The Fan ID application and e-visa request are completed seamlessly within the YALLA app, ensuring a faster, easier, and secure experience for international visitors and local fans alike,” it added.

CAF further clarified that, in order to apply, supporters simply need to download the YALLA application from Google Play or the App Store, or alternatively access the YALLA website, fill out the Fan ID form, and then, where applicable, submit the e-visa request.

After receiving approval, fans will then be able to purchase their match tickets directly via the official CAF ticketing platform.

It stressed that these newly introduced measures have been specifically put in place to provide a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience for spectators at Africa’s flagship football tournament, which will be hosted across nine stadiums located in six different cities.

“CAF, with support from the LOC, reaffirms its commitment to delivering a world-class spectator experience throughout Africa’s greatest football celebration,” the football body added.

CAF has revealed that a total of 298,000 tickets have already been purchased through its official ticketing platform during the initial two sales phases, with buyers coming from 33 countries across Africa and from 106 countries around the globe.

The prestigious football tournament is scheduled to be held from 21st of December 2025 until 18th of January 2026 in nine stadiums spread across six host cities within Morocco.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
