Laugh Every Day – Monday Motivation

“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” Proverbs 17:22

There’s something very powerful about a cheerful heart. It is a mindset, an outward manifestation of a mind that dwells primarily on positive matters.

Being cheerful is contagious. It can brighten even the grouchiest of all individual’s days. It has the ability to move away from what’s wrong in the world to what’s right. It gives energy to you and to those around you. On the other hand, a crushed spirit drains your energy and the energy of those with whom you come in contact. When a person lives with a crushed spirit, it does feel like one’s bones are drying up on the inside, almost like a slow death. If you are there, don’t plan to stay there.

Being cheerful is a choice and has nothing to do with what we go through. You may not be able to change the situation, but you can change how you deal with it and how you view it. Like taking lemons and making pie or the proverbial lemonade.

It is a new week and we are admonished to Lighten up! You’ll live longer when you are cheerful, and you’ll be more enjoyable to be around. No one enjoys being around a grouch. Laugh every day, it is good for your soul.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
