Mohamed Salah ‘wants Liverpool to make him their highest-paid player with ‘£500,000-per-week deal’.

The English newspaper, “Mirror”, confirmed on Saturday that the Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, had already specified his financial requests to extend his contract with Liverpool, which has less than two years left.

Reports say Liverpool FC are already negotiating with Salah to ensure his continuity at Anfield beyond 2023, after completing the renewal of the most prominent pillars of Jurgen Klopp’s team, Virgil van Dijk, Alisson, captain Jordan Henderson, and full-backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson.

The 29-year-old who delivered goals and assists every year, receives a salary of 200,000 pounds per week in his current contract, but the Egyptian star wants to increase his salary to 500,000 pounds per week, to extend his contract with the Reds.

According to the same source, there is still no response from the Liverpool administration regarding the huge financial demands of Mohamed Salah, which, if approved, would make him the highest-paid player in the history of the English club.

And according to the English newspaper, Mohamed Salah will have to reduce his financial demands to extend his contract with Liverpool, who show no willingness to break his wage ladder, although they are ready to make the Egyptian star the highest-paid player in the team.

Mohamed Salah joined Liverpool in 2017 from Rome for 37 million pounds, and since then he has been the team’s top scorer with 127 goals and 49 assists, in 206 matches in all competitions, and crowned with the team with 4 titles: the English Premier League, the Champions League Europe, European Super, and Club World Cup.
