Plateau Is Africa’s Europe, But Need To Deal With Discords And Unrest – Senator Shehu

Plateau Is Africa’s Europe, But Need To Deal With Discords And Unrest – Senator Shehu

Despite all odds, former Senator Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District, stated on Saturday that Plateau State requires peace in order to become Africa’s Europe because of its rich cultural legacy.

Remember that since a gang of bandits ambushed and killed 22 Muslim travelers along Rukuba Road in the Jos North Local Government Area, there has been unrest in the State.

A suspected gang of gunmen launched an attack on the Yelwa Zangam hamlet in Jos North Local Government Area on Tuesday last week, killing 36 people.

State governors have made serious efforts to withdraw their citizens who are students of UNIJOS from the state to avoid attacks on them.

In a press conference, a few hours ago, Hon. Ubandoma Joshua Laven, Executive Chairman of the Langtang North Local Government Council of Plateau State, gave a warning about a “planned terrorist attack” on both the Langtang North and Langtang South local government areas in the state

When asked about information on the attackers, Hon. Joshua stated that they entered through the Wase Local Government Area and Kadarko.

Immediately following the incident, Senator Sani said on his Facebook page, “Plateau state is a Divinely blessed state. It has a unique ‘temperate’ climatic condition. It has an unusual topography and scenic geography.

“It has species of plants and varieties of food crops exclusively endowed to the people of the state by nature. Nature favorably crowned them with ornaments of rocks,” he added

He claimed, “No state is so richly gifted. And the creator also gave them multitudes of religious beliefs and ethnicities.

“The first blessing makes their state the most beautiful bride of nature; the second blessing makes their state the dreadful theatre of intolerance. It’s an ironic state with Apples, Roses, and swords. Plateau only needs peace to be Africa’s Europe,” he said.

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
