Road To Emmaus

As we reflect on the meaning of Christ’s Resurrection that we are celebrating, the two stories today invite us to realize that the Risen Christ comes into our lives even to this very day.

He could be the stranger that restores our hope with his compassion and wisdom or even two friends or acquaintances who share so generously what they have, their faith in the Risen Lord.

The two disciples on the way to Emmaus figured it out even though they didn’t recognize Christ at first.  As did the man crippled from birth as new strength and energy flowed through his ailing body.  Perhaps our prayer for today could be that we have the grace to recognize Christ in whatever way He comes to us in our daily life.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
