MANIFESTATION OF FAITH IN JESUS

Reflecting on the encounter between Jesus and Jairus, coupled with the miraculous healing of the woman who suffered from a hemorrhage for twelve years, we see that these miracles were manifestations of faith in Jesus. This pivotal moment unfolded amidst a throng of onlookers who disseminated accounts of these wonders. The collective faith within the crowd began to flourish rapidly, spurred on by the narrative of the woman’s healing, which became a catalyst for belief in the miraculous.

As Jesus traversed various villages and towns, awareness of his healing ministry spread, with many individuals developing faith inspired by those early accounts of miraculous intervention. Jesus’s attire, characterized by the fringed hems typical of prayer garments, symbolized his priestly authority and the divine presence at work, poised to offer restoration and salvation through intercession with the Father. Christ’s assertion that faith can render the impossible achievable underscores the critical role of faith in our existence—it is a dynamic element that requires continual cultivation to yield fruitful outcomes.

YOUR HOLINESS AND FAITHFULNESS TO GOD IS AN EVIDENCE OF YOUR LOVE FOR GOD’S COMMANDMENT

Nathaniel Emmons articulated that “Obedience to God is the most infallible evidence of sincere and supreme love to Him.” God’s profound love for humanity manifests in a desire for us to recognize and actualize our potential. The expectation is that our obedience springs not merely from a wish to fulfill our capabilities or reciprocate God’s love, but that it serves as a testament to our commitment and love for Him. Thus, your holiness and fidelity naturally reflect your devotion to God.

OBEDIENCE: A CRUCIAL COMPONENT

The genesis of obedience lies in placing trust in God’s providential plan. Acting in faith does not necessitate complete comprehension of God’s directives; rather, it highlights the principle that understanding is not a prerequisite for action. As we cultivate familiarity with God’s nature, the need for explicit clarity diminishes. Divine instructions are seldom conveyed in unequivocal terms; they require discernment, tempered with faith and adherence on our part.
The divine presence is synonymous with both sanctity and restoration; as believers, we are the living temple of God, and it is imperative that we acknowledge this truth in faith and respond to the divine calling towards holiness.

We express gratitude for the healers God sends into our lives. Through the intercession of St. Scholastica, may we embody the role of healers to those we encounter today, particularly to those in dire need who may challenge us by seeking assistance, time, and prayers. God’s presence envelops us; may you continue to be blessed as we abide in His grace.
Amen.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
