THE KING AND EIGHT

THE KING AND EIGHT

On the eighth day, the king released the people, and they went to their tents with greatest joy and gratitude, for all the goodness the lord had shown to David His servant …see 1Kings 8:66.

Here the centre point remains David the servant of God, seeing how far he was helped by God. But the question is was it really joyful and easy for him those days? …see Psalms 126.

The whole people were full of joy when they saw God’s faithfulness to David the king and the people but David remains a mere servant before God and His word. It was a really painful and tearful period that he never wish his enemy, but like Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith (Hebrew 12:1-2), David even though ordained a king, humbled himself and pass through those painful or bitter experiences which harvested this great joy experienced in David’s latter days, and even to Solomon’s days (Psalms 7:1-21, 1kings 5:4) as we read in 1kings 8:66.

The lesson here is; that for you to arrive at the place of archiving destiny (God’s purpose), you must have the heart to endure the making process and this heart can only be found in Christ (Philippians 2:5-8).

God can not make you without showing you Christ whom he had made already…see Genesis 12:1-2, Acts 9:15-16, Matthew 17:1-8, 2Corinthians 5:18-19, 1Corinthians 3:10-11, 1Kings 22:28-30, 2Tim 2:19-22.

Going through these above scriptures, for Christ to wear the crown of glory and be at the right hand of his father, he must wear the crown of thorns first. The level of God’s blessing that awaits you, is determined by what Battle you pass through for His sake, which God is showing us all that Jesus suffered from his birth to his death on the cross and that is what promoted him to the right hand of the Father.

For David to be celebrated as king, he must remain a servant by facing the pain that gave him gain. I see God achieving this greatest joy in your generation through you as you follow and learn from Christ Jesus this 8th month…see Matthew 11:28-30.

Blessed morning to you…Voice of Pentecost.
