The Shocking Reason All Men Should Take Pregnancy Test

For women, Pregnancy test are an easy and accurate way to find out if you’re pregnant — you just pee on a stick and you see the result in a few seconds but that’s not the case when it comes to the other gender.

Pregnancy tests work by checking your urine (pee) for a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG). Your body only makes this hormone if you’re pregnant. HCG is released when a fertilized egg attaches to the lining of your uterus — when pregnancy begins. If your pregnancy test results are positive, it means you’re pregnant. If they’re negative, it means you’re not pregnant.

A man took to the online community Reddit to share the outcome of a male pregnancy test he took where the result came out positive.

But more than 1,500 of his fellow Redditors who saw the post were concerned and revealed what they know when a man has positive pregnancy test results.

A positive male pregnancy test is actually a scary thing for a guy.
Oh yes, it is!

A positive pregnancy test means that there is something more sinister going on in your body that you need to get checked out immediately.

A positive pregnancy test result could be a sign of Testicular Cancer for men.

Pregnancy tests work by checking your urine (pee) for a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG). Your body only makes this hormone if you’re pregnant.

But “it turns out a fair number of testicular cancers make the same hormone,” oncologist Dr. Mark Pomerantz said. “There are very few things in the body that produce beta hCG, and testicular cancer is one of them.”

Testicular cancer occurs in the testicles (testes), which are located inside the scrotum, a loose bag of skin underneath the penis. The testicles produce male sex hormones and sperm for reproduction.

Cancer usually affects only one testicle. There’s no way to prevent testicular cancer but like any cancer, testicle cancer is a serious condition. Fortunately, testicular cancer is highly treatable and curable even when cancer has spread beyond the testicle.

Depending on the type and stage of testicular cancer, you may receive one of several treatments or a combination.

The most common sign of testicular cancer is a painless lump in your testicle. Other symptoms include:

  • Swelling or sudden fluid build-up in your scrotum.

*A lump or swelling in either testicle.

  • A feeling of heaviness in your scrotum.
  • Dull ache in your groin or lower abdomen.
  • Pain or discomfort in your scrotum or a testicle.
  • A shrinking testicle (testicular atrophy).

These symptoms can occur with other conditions, too, so don’t panic if you notice them.

Why not get a pregnancy strip today and get a test done. They’re very affordable and available at most pharmacies. Better still visit your doctor.

Delays in diagnosis allow cancer cells time to spread, making the disease harder to treat.

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
