Tiwa Savage: How I Balance Motherhood, Music, And Filmmaking

Tiwa Savage has shared her secrets for juggling parenting, music, and filmmaking.

At Thursday’s press conference for her feature debut, “Water and Garri,” the “Koroba” hitmaker thanked her team for assisting her in juggling all the tasks she had taken on.

She added that people do not need to “stick to one thing” and expressed her wish to “inspire people” to be diverse.

“I hope to inspire people, just be an inspiration to many different talents out there that they do not have to stick to one thing,” he said.

“We can wear different hats and we can execute it excellently. That would be what I would love to achieve.

“I have a great team and I feel like we have been working on balance. The people around me have been able to balance things, even balance motherhood as well.

“It is just having the right people and making the right decisions. We do not always have to answer or accept every offer but we do accept the ones that make sense.”

Asked if she had to choose between music and acting, the 44-year-old filmmaker said: “I would go for the one that is paying more”.

‘Water and Garri’ is scheduled to premiere on May 10 on Prime Video.

Directed by Meji Alabi and filmed in Ghana, ‘Water and Garri’ tells the story of Aisha, an ambitious fashion designer.

Work-life balance is achieved when the amount of time and energy you spend on your personal life and professional life is equal. While the scales may tip at times in either direction, it’s important to strive for that balance so that you can stay healthy and productive in all areas of your life.

Live with Purpose, Love with Passion. Remember to be happy
