Waiting time is not wasted time – Monday Motivation

This is an amazing fact and incontrovertible truth; the first options are not necessarily the best options, and the most attractive may not necessarily be the most rewarding. As it was with the Prophet Samuel visiting the house of Jesse, you may have seven options and yet no right choice.

We must wait until we are sure for certain what next step God wants us to take in every situation, no matter how hard pressed for time we are.

Waiting time is not wasted time. Although our culture sometimes engenders a sort of vending machine mentality in us; we want things instantly. But, as Christians, we should know that there are some spiritual conditions that cannot be accomplished in a moment. The breaking up of the fallow ground takes time. God would have to first break our hearts to pieces by the slow process of discipline and discipling, and grind every particle to powder, and then mellow us and saturate us with His blessed Spirit so we could take the right step forward.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
