Where Will God Meet Me?

Eph 3:2-12
LK 12:39-48

When a man has had a great deal given him, a great deal will be demanded of him; when a man has had a great deal given him on trust, even more will be expected of him.’
-Luke 12:48

With the weeks ahead, as the Church’s Ordinary Time Calendar draws to a close, we begins to hear in our liturgical readings the theme Prepare! preparing the way of the Lord. In today’s gospel, Peter asked Jesus whether the parable was meant for them or for everyone and Jesus gave an instance with a question on the attitude and the responsibility places on everyone as God’s stewards. At the end, those who fail are disciplined and those who served will be in charge of property.

Even though we will slumber and sleep, He, the Lord will never sleep or slumber. In fact, the Bible says in Romans chapter 8 that Nothing can separate us from the love of God.Jesus upholds us and keeps us at every moment by his power. He promises to always be with us; he promises to never change; and those burdens we carry are burdens he can take. And so whatever you might be holding onto right now, he can take it. Trust him.

On our part like good stewards, we must be ready at all times to the call to holiness, to the call of duty at our duty post and even off duty so that when the master returns he will find us ready and pure. He will rewards us his faithful servants as he had promised. He will serve them himself with the best provision and care beyond their widest imagination. Lift off brethren the horse is prepared for the days of battle, but safety is of the Lord. Arise! Always be ready to meet the Lord If we are doing so, there is no need to worry about the “unknown hour” but rejoice always in our service to God.
