A Heartfelt Confession: Lady Opens Up About Her Biggest Mistake And Her Promise Never To Repeat It

A young woman’s poignant tale of going to tremendous lengths for love only to be let down has generated a lot of responses on the internet.

The woman, who posted about her experience on social media, described how she traveled for hours to surprise someone who had disregarded her messages while lying to her mother about going to a night vigil.

She claimed that the decision was made solely on the basis of emotion rather than reason. She acknowledged that her phone’s battery was low and that her money was nearly depleted, but she continued on the trip.

“I once lied to my mum and said I was going for a night vigil. But in reality, I was on a night bus, traveling four hours just to surprise someone who hadn’t replied to my messages in two days,” she wrote.

She added, “My phone battery was low, my account balance was embarrassing, and my heart was doing all the thinking.”

When I arrived, he wasn’t excited… he was irritated. He said I should’ve called first,” she said.

“I laughed it off, I even bought food with the last of my money on my way, and spent the night on a cold chair because his bed was ‘too small’ for both of us,” she added.

The turning point came in the early hours of the morning, as she sat watching him sleep.

“At 5 a.m., I watched him sleep and realized I had never done this much for myself,” she revealed.

“The next morning, I had to call my mum to send me money for a cab because I had spent all I had for ‘offerings,’ and I booked a ride home,” she said.

Concluding her story, she described the experience as a turning point in her life.

“That was the worst thing I’ve ever done for love… forgetting my own worth. Men are scum sha. Never again.”
