Today the entire Church celebrates with the Nigerian Church , one of the son of the soil made blessed.; he is Blessed Cyprian Michael Iwene Tansi. As a young boy, he understood that the way of salvation is Jesus the Way. For him, in order to attain holiness and eternal life, you must imitate Christ. He took a radical step as a priest in his to go for the monastic life with the Cistercian. He took the vows and dedicated himself to a life of intense prayers and mortification.
The Lord calls his disciples in today’s gospel, to seek the kingdom of God first before every other thing in this life. The kingdom of God is what we must treasure most as described like fine pearls. Getting a single pearl demands lots of patience and sacrifice. You have to be patient with God and with yourself. One of life’s frustrations is that God’s timetable is rarely the same as ours. We are often in a hurry when God isn’t. We may feel frustrated with the seemingly slow progress we are making in life.
Remember, that God is never in a hurry, but he is always on time. He wiles. entire lifetime to prepare you for your role in eternity.The Bible is filled with examples of how God uses a long process to develop the character, especially of his prophets and leaders. They carried God as witnesses just like Blessed Tansi and the disciples who bore witness to Christ.
