Emma Raducanu has been announced as a new ambassador for Dior.

Prior to the announcement on Tuesday, Radukanu was seen at the world premiere of the James Bond film “No Time to Die” in September wearing a Grecian-style gown designed by Dior’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri for the Cruise 2022 collection.

The 18-year-old British tennis star will represent the French luxury fashion house’s women’s clothing collection as well as its skincare and makeup categories. This comes a month after winning the women’s singles title at the 2021 US Open.

Emma Raducanu rose to fame after her strong performance at Wimbledon last summer, then stunned the tennis world when she won the US Open as a newcomer, defeating 19-year-old Canadian tennis player Leyla Fernandez in the final. She is the first qualifier to win a Grand Slam title.

She is due to return to action next week at the Transylvania Open in her father’s home country of Romania, and potentially with a new coach in tow. Raducanu is reportedly trialling Johanna Konta’s former mentor Esteban Carril.

Dior’s concert is not Raducanu’s first foray into the world of fashion. She debuted last month with Met Gala in a black and white printed Chanel ensemble before signing with Tiffany & Co. as an ambassador for the famous jewelry brand. She will now work with Churi and Peter Philips, who directs Dior’s makeup and skin care lines.

Other famous ambassadors of the brand, including recently, are K-pop star Jisoo and actor Yara Shahidi.
