Social media users have mixed reactions to reality personality Leo DaSilva’s outspoken criticism of Christians who call their pastors “Daddy,” “spiritual father,” and other such names.

Leo voiced his concern about such comments, labeling them a “red flag,” in a post on the social media site X.
In his post, Leo questioned the necessity of using such personal terms for religious leaders, writing, “My Daddy, My Spiritual Daddy,’ my father in the Lord’ to describe your pastor is a red flag.”
Leo explained in a subsequent post that his two-year experience in theology school was a personal endeavor to get a deeper understanding of scripture.
He emphasized that a sincere love for God ought to motivate people to pursue knowledge on their own, rather than relying on others for their faith.
“I went to theology school for 2 years, not because I want to become a pastor but to understand the word of God even more.
“If you claim to love God, you will try to learn about God yourself. It’s like saying you love someone you don’t even know. Don’t be a sheep to everything,” he added.
