Mariam Timmer Opens Up About Health Struggles Behind the Scenes on RHOL

Mariam Adeyemi Timmer, a crucial cast member of The Real Housewives of Lagos, has revealed insights into the personal hardships she encountered while filming the reality show.

In a recent interview, she described how doing IVF therapy and treating a thyroid ailment took a toll on her both physically and mentally.

She added that these health difficulties developed during her fertility journey and influenced her emotions during the filming process.

Mariam said that many people were unaware that her on-screen reactions were influenced by what she was suffering behind the scenes.

She also expressed the stress and bewilderment she felt upon finding her thyroid issue, particularly since she was already battling with fibroids and seeking to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Mariam underlined the stress women often encounter when tackling fertility and health challenges. She clarified that she chose to speak up because, despite facing comparable challenges, many women choose to keep quiet because of cultural or societal expectations.
