She is a symbol of sacrifice and selflessness. She takes care of her family’s well-being. The needs of her family are always above hers. She undertakes many tasks in the home; manages the home, and tends to her household’s emotional and physical needs. At the same time, she was managing a business or juggling a career. Give it all to every mother, we are heroes.
But are mothers recognized as heroes by their family members? In most homes, despite a woman’s tireless efforts, she is unseen and unappreciated. This makes many mothers bear a heavy and often invisible burden: the sense of being unappreciated.
These feelings may negatively impact the well-being of a mother in the following ways when not quickly addressed:
It Impacts her Ambitions Feelings of unseen and unappreciated can make a woman feel less motivated to pursue her ambition. When she is not appreciated for all she does for her family, she feels all her efforts are in vain, not valued, and of less importance. This makes her feel that if what she does for her family is not appreciated, then she is of no good, and so, it is not worth it to pursue her dreams, as nothing good may come out of it.
It makes her take less care of herself:
It can also cause her to forget to take care of herself. When she feels unappreciated, she finds it more difficult to make time for herself and do things that make her happy. Feeling valued and appreciated is important for everyone, but especially for mothers who put their families’ needs ahead of theirs. Therefore, mothers must be appreciated, because this makes us feel valued and gives us the strength we need in our daily tasks.
