The All Progressives Congress’s (APC) camp has seemingly hired some unknown Christian bishops to attend the official unveiling of his Vice Presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima, in response to criticisms that followed the Muslim/Muslim ticket of the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
At the unveiling, which took place at Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre Abuja, the bishops were seen dressed in their robes.
The crowd mocked them and chanted, “The bishops are here,” during the incident that generated a nuisance at the event’s entrance.
Meanwhile, the unknown bishops were escorted to the gallery, which served as an overflow area, as they were unable to find seats in the main hall.
Recall that many Nigerians have continued to voice their displeasure about the APC’s selection of a Muslim-Muslim paired ticket for the general elections in 2023.
They condemned the action as an attempt to undermine Nigerians’ right to practice their religion.
