19-Months Old Dies After Receiving 31 Strokes From Teacher

Emeka Nwogbo, the teacher alleged to have flogged a 19-month-old baby to death in Delta state has denied the allegation.

The AgnesIsika Blog previously reported how a 19-month-old baby named Obinna died after a school owner, Mrs. Ogbo, and her son, Emeka Nwogbo, gave her 31 strokes of the cane.

The boy had been beaten to the point of coma, and he had various bruises on his body as a result of the beating.

In a video provided by the victim’s mother, the victim was seen in a hospital bed receiving treatment.

The boy died five days later at the Federal Medical Centre in Asaba, the state capital.

However, Mr. Emeka has denied the accusations against him saying that he flogged the late Obinna ‘like a baby’ and that the boy was beaten because he pushed another child while speaking to reporters after a team from the state government visited the state police command today.
