The Glory Of The Lord Filled The Temple

The Glory Of The Lord Filled The Temple

They laid the sick in the marketplaces
and begged him that they might touch only the tassel on his cloak;
and as many as touched it were healed. Mark 6:56…The presence of God brings holiness and healing we are God’s temple and we must acknowledge that in faith and respond to God’s call to holiness.

PREXIOUSLY…

If we take our minds back to the encounter of Jesus with Jairus who was an official and the miraculous healing of the woman who had hemorrhage for twelve years. The miracles happened because of their faith in Jesus and this entire scene were heavily surrounded by crowds who started spreading all this wonders It did not take long for the people to enter into this brilliance in faith expression.

IN TODAY’S GOSPEL

As Jesus passes through the villages and towns many people started having faith in him especially with the story of the faith of the woman who was cured from twelve years hemorrhage still lingering. Their faith began to grow while Jesus is seen dressed in clothes with hems- the garments of prayer; a sign of his priestly and healing office and the presence of God working their midst to offer them restoration and salvation while interceding for them before the Father. Christ has told us also already that if we have faith we can make the impossible possible.By faith, we can do all things. Faith is Important in our lives. Faith needs to be nurtured towards fruitfulness as always.

GOD’S PRESENCE IS EVERYWHERE

in today’s first reading. the presence of God filled the Temple such that the priests could no longer carry out their ministry. God created all things and He has the power over all things
In Isaiah chapter 66:1-2; ‘Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?”
The glory of God in the midst of the people shows the willingness of God to offer us his divine life and to dwell in our midst as the Holy One of Israel.

YOUR HOLINESS AND FAITHFULNESS TO GOD SHOWS YOUR LOVE FOR GOD’S COMMANDS

Nathaniel Emmons once said; “Obedienvr to God is the most infallible evidence of sincere and supreme love to Him” God loves us so much and He wants us to realise our potentials. His hope is that we obey him, and not just out of a desire to realize our potentials or to love him back, but that your obedience is a testimony of our love for him. Your holiness and faithfulness is an evident of your love for God.

OBEDIENCE:IS THE KEY INGREDIENT

Obedience begins when we trust in God’s will and providence in our lives. Obeying God in faith does not mean they you would not ever understand why He asks us to do certain things in certain ways. It just means THAT WE DO NOT NEED TO UNDERSTAND TO ACT. The more familiar we become with God’s character the less we will need to know. God’s directions are not written in plain English it must be discern with faith and obedience on our part.
God’s presence is in our midst may you remain blessed as you dwell in His presence.

Thank you, God, for the healers you send into our lives, especially in this time of COVID-19. Help us to be healers to all those we come into contact with today, especially those who are in critical need and will probably inconvenience us asking for a hand, for some of our time and prayers. Amen.
