Villagers In India Hurry To Worship Cow Born With Three Eyes And Four Nostrils

After it was alleged to be a reincarnation of Hindu God Shiva, a three-eyed cow born in India has been branded a “divine miracle” and villagers have been queuing up to worship it.

The unusual calf was born with four nostrils and an extra eye on its forehead.

Some people of the Rajnandgaon district of India’s Chhattisgarh hamlet believe the three-eyed calf is a reincarnation of Viswanatha, a God who is noted for having an eye on his forehead.

According to Sputnik, a big number of people came from adjacent villages to worship the cow, believing it to be Shiva’s reincarnation.

People formed lines to pay their respects to the remarkable calf born with three eyes and four nostrils.

The calf, which was born on January 14, drew big crowds who brought incense sticks, coconuts, and money, as is customary in the area.

Some believe the calf’s birth, which occurred precisely as the Hindu harvest festival, Makar Sankranti, began, was no coincidence. The arrival of the calf was seen as a sacred event by many.

Villagers of Neelkumar Verma told the Indian news agency ANI: “I have never seen any three-eyed being. Only Lord Shiva had it. It is a divine miracle. An incarnation of the Lord himself.”

While the anima’s birth has been tied to the Hindu God, a veterinary specialist has expressed his displeasure with the analogy.

Such situations, according to Doctor Kamlesh Chaudhary, should not be deemed miraculous because they occur as a result of the embryo’s aberrant development.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
