Woman Kills Husband, Sister Before Dying In Shootout With Brother

A Kentucky woman went on a shooting spree, murdering her husband and her own sister before being slain by her brother in a gunfight, authorities said.

Angela Gosser, 56, is suspected of driving to her brother’s house in Jamestown on Friday, May 3, with a revolver and forcing her way inside.

Darryl Wilson, 58, was home at the time and, according to a news statement from the Kentucky State Police, was also carrying a gun.

According to police, the two siblings got into a gunfight, which killed Gosser.

Wilson was hurt and rushed to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.

According to investigators, the scope of Gosser’s crime spree was only revealed after authorities were summoned to her sister Jennifer Wilson’s house for a welfare check.

According to the news announcement, Jennifer Wilson’s family was unable to contact her and expressed fear for her safety.

When officials arrived at the home in Russell County, they discovered a gruesome scene.

Troopers and deputies discovered Jennifer Wilson sitting in the driver’s seat of a Toyota Camry with suspected deadly gunshot wounds to the head.

Police think that prior to the incident at her brother’s house, Gosser approached Jennifer Wilson and shot her many times through the car’s passenger side, leaving her for dead.

According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, Gosser’s husband, Larry Gosser, was also discovered shot and died on Friday evening.

Larry Gosser was a retired Sergeant from the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife after 16 years of service, according to Wilson Funeral Home records.

According to WKYT, Larry Gosser was working on a tree on his property in western Pulaski County when his wife shot and killed him.

“Right now, that is open for investigation. We are still working with detectives and looking for leads. They are back there working to find the end of it,” Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones told WKYT.

According to his obituary, Larry Gosser was an active fisherman and hunter who enjoyed the outdoors, animals, and, most importantly, spending time with his family and friends.

Investigators have not yet revealed the motivation for the killings.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
