63-Year-Old Pastor Arrested In Enugu For Allegedly R@ping Two Sisters

The Enugu State Police Command has confirmed the arraignment and court-ordered remand of 63-year-old pastor Luke Eze for allegedly raping two sisters, aged 16 and 19, in Ezeagu LGA.

Eze was arrested on September 11, 2025, after the victims’ parent reported the incident. DSP Daniel Ndukwe, the police spokesperson, stated that Eze lured the younger victim to his church, City of Hope Ministry, on September 7, 2025, for a “deliverance session,” where he administered a stupefying substance, rendering her unconscious, and raped her.

The older sister, searching for her sibling, was subjected to the same ritual and assault. Both victims regained consciousness on September 8, 2025, with evidence of the assault.

Police recovered the substance for forensic analysis, and Eze confessed, blaming “the devil.”

He has been remanded in custody following investigations by the Gender and Anti-Human Trafficking Section.

CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa condemned the act and urged vigilance against fraudulent spiritual leaders, assuring justice in the case.
