A civilian who viciously attacked a police officer has been asked to pay the sum of Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N200,000) as bail for his unruly behaviour.

The man, Mr Samuel Jacob, has been dragged before a Badagry Magistrates’ Court for assaulting an officer of the Nigeria Police Force, NPF.

Jacob, a 29-year-old man, reportedly descended on Sageant Musa Hassan and bit off his index finger following an earlier provocation.

However, the report did not mention the origin of the incident, as it reported that Jacob severely wounded the police officer.
