I’ll Be Anxious If My Child Decides To Do Music – Simi

Singer and songwriter, Simi has revealed she does not want her child to feel pressured into doing music.

The 33-year-old songstress recently shared her thoughts via an insta-live conversation on the anxiety she would be exposed to if her child tried venturing into music.

According to the ‘Duduke’ crooner, she would love her child do absolutely anything she wants and be as original as possible without feeling pressured to be like her parents or anyone else for that matter.

Furthermore, Simi explained she never had to deal with that sort of pressure growing up and wouldn’t want her child to experience such.

The “Tiff” crooner said: “Whatever she wants to do, I’m a 150% behind her. You know but I’m gonna be very honest. I feel like a part of me will be anxious if she decides to do music but only because I don’t want her to feel any type of pressure like she’s coming from parents that have done this so there’s a standard she has to be following or she has to do or you know what people might be saying “o this is how your parents…
“I didn’t have to go through that because the only competition was me. So that pressure of having two parents to have done music, you know that’s something to be anxious for. I wouldn’t want her to feel…

“I want her to be as original as possible without having to feel like anyone else not even her parents.”
