November 6th: Weekly Football News Catch Up: Thomas Tuchel Speaks On His Return To Coaching; Darwin Nunez Says Luis Suarez Advised Him; Haaland’s Success Depends On Guardiola’s Ego; Others

Darwin Nunez Reveals Advice Luis Suarez Gave Him About The Premier League.

Darwin Nunez, a summer acquisition for Liverpool, has shared the warning he received from fellow countryman and former Reds striker Luis Suarez.

After a challenging start to his Liverpool career, Nunez revealed that the former Barcelona star had gotten in touch with him and given him some words of advice.

Nunez has had a turbulent start to life at Anfield after being acquired from Benfica in the summer.

His debut for the Reds at home ended in defeat after the Uruguayan was sent off and given a three-game suspension for headbutting Crystal Palace’s Joachim Andersen.

Suarez himself was involved in numerous controversies while playing for Liverpool and has now offered some advice and encouragement to the 23-year-old.

Speaking to ESPN: Nunez said, “Luis told me that these things in the Premier are going to happen in all the games, that they are going to come looking for me, that they are going to hit me, and that I must become strong and I must not repeat the shit he sent me.

“‘Listen to an asshole like me’ he told me. I am very grateful for that message and the love it has for me.”

Thomas Tuchel Speaks On His Return To Coaching.

Thomas Tuchel, a former manager of Chelsea, has revealed his stands on going back into coaching.

Early in September, Tuchel was fired as Chelsea’s manager following the Blues’ 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League.

Graham Potter, former Brighton’s coach, was quickly appointed to replace the German at Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel, who spoke with Sports Star, stated that he has not yet decided on whether to return to coaching and that it is time for him to take a break from management.

He said, “I haven’t made a decision yet. It is now time for me to take a break.

“Some clubs have been calling my manager, but we agreed that he would not call me here for these past 18 days.”

He added, “I loved every day at Chelsea. It came to an end too early for me, but it was out of my hands. This is also what you signed up for.”

Judge Me When The Season Is Over” – Jurgen Klopp.

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has told his doubters to judge him at the conclusion of the season.

The Reds are currently ranked ninth in the Premier League after losing to Leeds United at home on Saturday by a score of 2-1.

Ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League matchup with Napoli on Tuesday night, Klopp has insisted that he and the team should only be evaluated after the season is over

He said: “We all do our job in public, the judgement of this is maybe later on in the season. At the end of it.

“At the moment it’s not 100% fair to judge the team because we haven’t had them available, missing up front top quality. We’d usually make changes.

“Even if it’s unfair, it’s fine. It’s normal to ask these questions. Arsenal and Man City will have to answer those questions later on. We are all out there to be judged, managers, players, that’s how it is. But I don’t think about it.”

Premier League Urged To Cancel Its Last Matches Before The World Cup.

The Premier League has been urged to postpone the last set of games before the beginning of the World Cup.

Club games will be suspended before the tournament in Qatar begins on November 20 after the weekend fixtures of November 12/13.

A growing number of players are suffering injuries that could put an end to their hopes to represent their nation in Qatar.

Ben Chilwell of England, who injured his hamstring during Chelsea’s 2-1 Champions League victory over Dinamo Zagreb, has now been added to the list of players who are questionable for the World Cup.

Jamie O’Hara, a former player for Tottenham, argued that it was time to postpone games scheduled before the World Cup so that athletes would have some downtime before the tournament.

Diogo Jota, for example, won’t be available for Portugal any longer, and Heung-min Son of South Korea might not play because of a fracture near his left eye.

O’Hara said on talkSPORT: “You’ve lost Reece James, you’ve lost Ben Chilwell, but for England, it’s a serious problem. Players are dropping like flies.”

“Cancel the last round of games in the Premier League, give them a bit of breathing space.

“The Premier League should do it, or the players should get involved.”

“Haaland’s Success Will Depend On Guardiola’s Ego” – Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has asserted that the progress of Erling Haaland at Manchester City is dependent on Pep Guardiola’s ego.

Haaland joined City from Borussia Dortmund in the summer and has already scored 22 goals for the team in all competitions.

Although Ibrahimovic acknowledged being a big fan of Haaland, he cautioned that Guardiola might impede his progress.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic said, “Do I like Haaland? Yes, very much so. I think he is a very intelligent player.

“He reminds me of players like [Filippo] Inzaghi, [David] Trezeguet, [Christian] Vieri. He is the new version of these players.

“Can Guardiola make Haaland even stronger? It depends on Guardiola’s ego, if he lets him become bigger than him or not. Because he didn’t let me get bigger? Me or others? Not only me, many others.”

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
