WALK DAILY WITH CHRIST OUR SAVIOUR IN CHILDLIKE TRUST

In today’s gospel passage, Jesus expresses exuberant praise for God’s decision to unveil the ways and mysteries of God to the “childlike” rather than the “wise and learned.” What distinguishes children, making them well-suited to apprehend God’s revelations in ways that the “wise and learned” are not?

Children exhibit traits such as openness, trust, curiosity, and a fervent desire for knowledge, all of which are fundamental to a life of faith. Their readiness to follow, even without complete certainty of the journey’s destination, parallels the essence of discipleship—a life characterized by following, emulating, and learning from Christ.

Importantly, unlike those who seek grounds for disbelief, children possess a natural sense of wonder that fosters eagerness to believe.

Above all, the gospel, or good news, conveys God’s enduring love, unconditional mercy and forgiveness, and the commitment to healing, wholeness, and everlasting life.

This elucidates why, irrespective of our progress in life, it behooves us to retain childlike qualities. Proceed courageously with the Lord, demonstrating childlike trust and complete surrender, and He will lead you on the journey through.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
