Celebs/Fans Reacts To End Of Spears’ 13yrs Conservatorship

After almost 14 years, Britney has been freed from conservatorship!

On Friday, a judge ruled in favour of ending the court’s protection that has ruled Spears’ life.

“The court finds and determines that the conservatorship of the person and estate of Britney Jean Spears is no longer required,” ruled Judge Brenda Penny. “The conservatorship of the person and estate of Britney Jean Spears is hereby terminated.”

Outside the courthouse, a rally of roughly 500 people gathered before the hearing to cheer on the pop star, with some fans drawing “Free Britney” in block letters on the street in pink chalk, others decorating a pink Christmas tree in her honor.

Spears later posted a video on her Twitter account that shows fans cheering as cannons shoot pink confetti into the air. “Good God I love my fans so much this is crazy,” Spears wrote.

Celebrities, families and pop icons of every generation lauded the news on social media.

Spears’ fiancé Sam Asghari posted on instagram Congratulating the Grammy Award-winning singer, he wrote, “History made today. Britney is free!”

“Britney: Free!” American television talk show host Andy Cohen tweeted.

Spears’ mom too posted on her Instagram story a Bible verse that reads, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

“Thank God,” wrote Cher.

“Congratulations, Britney,” wrote Dionne Warwick on Twitter. “Enjoy life!”

“A Thousand Miles” singer Vanessa Carlton also wrote: “I am so thrilled to see freedom and hope that this wonderful lady is finally getting justice,” she tweeted.

Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, spoke to reporters after the hearing, praising his client. He said the judge did not require Britney to undergo another medical evaluation, which she had strenuously opposed.

Although the conservatorship might be over, the hearings in the case are not. The next one is scheduled for Jan. 19, possibly to deal with remaining motions and petitions in her case file.
